Program
This subject is provided as entry course under "India-Japan International Linkage Degree Program" (ILDP) and aims at learning to design highly feasible policies, public projects, and new businesses, using the methods of data and text mining. As a content of workshop, visits to local companies and Japanese/Indian experience are also included. The workshops will be organized by HU alternately in Japan and India

The workshop, which plays a role in the entry course of "India-Japan International Linkage Degree Program" (ILDP), is divided into three parts: First, participants obtain the knowledge of the urban/regional planning based on the economic development theory, and learn the basics of business/technological administration. In the second part of the workshop, participants will participate some technical visits to learn the Japanese experiences from the actual cases of three ILDP fields; smart infrastructure, new energy and environmental sustainability. After these specific learning, interdisciplinary student team will make a business plan by mining their new ideas about one theme which related the ILDP three fields by using text mining approach. This workshop will be held biennially in India in spring.

Requirements It is impossible for students to register this course by “My MOMIJI”. After calling for the participants on October biennially, selected undergraduate students have to register via MOMIJI system.
Basically, this course is directed to undergraduate students of all the schools in Hiroshima University, but some graduate students may be involved in this course. Further details such as the eligibilities will be announced later.
All the participants are required to join the orientation and risk management seminar for their safe travel to India. And besides, participants must do the necessaries with“Risk management manual for oversea travelers” on the “MOMIJI Top”. HU students have to submit his/her TOEIC score both before and after the field trip.
 
Grading Method Participants are required to make a report and 10 minutes presentation based on what they learned in this short course. After coming back to home country, students are required to submit a report.
Certificates of Completion will be offered to participants who fulfill certain completion requirements.
