This subject will teach students how literature, history, philosophy, linguistics, economics, business administration, law, politics, sociology, psychology, education, etc., which study human beings, society and outcomes of human/social activities, have achieved progress and formed current society in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines, including natural sciences and life sciences. It is designed to help students learn the history of respective areas of study so that they will not only gain a basic understanding of technicalities required for study programs at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences but also better  understand various fields of study, their history in particular, from an overall perspective.
(Total 15 lessons in an omnibus style) 
Class Schedule Lesson 1: Introductory guidance to give students an overview of this subject
Lesson 2: History of multicultural society and comparative culture will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 3: History of philosophy, ethics and cultural thoughts will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 4: History of Japanese history, Oriental history and European history will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 5: History of geography will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 6: History of Japanese linguistics, Japanese literature, Chinese linguistics, Chinese literature, European/American literature and English linguistics will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 7: History of economics will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 8: History of business administration will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 9: History of law will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 10: History of politics will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines. This lecture will focus on relation between  history, methodology and value of politics.
Lesson 11: History of sociology will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines. This lecture will focus on relationship between sociology and modernization.
Lesson 12: History of psychology and behavioral sciences will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 13: History of psychology and behavioral sciences will be introduced to students in light of their relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 14:  History of education will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines.
Lesson 15: History of education will be introduced to students in light of its relevance to other academic disciplines.
