Students enrolled in this course are expected to conduct a research project on second language acquisition of Japanese and write a research paper.

The purpose of this course is to develop a solid foundation that enables students to conduct research on second language acquisition of Japanese.  They are expected to learn how to read research paper critically, form a research question, and plan a research project.

Preparation and
Lessons 1-18  Create an annotated bibliography of assigned papers which contain summaries and your comments. Use your own words  and do not copy any part of paper.
Lessons 19-29 Form a research question and establish a detailed research plan and writ it up.  
Grading Method Evaluation is based on class presentation, presentation materials, assignments, class discussion and participation.
