In this course, students will learn the contents studies on technology, which are the basis of technology education in junior high school and industry education in high school. Students will moreover take the current issues in technical and industrial education and will cultivate basic skills of developing learning materials for solving the issues.

Focusing on contents studies on technology and industry, students discuss (1) the characteristics of the learning content, (2) contents studies on technology and industry as background for education, and (3) the utilization and development of learning materials.

Lecture 9:  Development of learning materials for technology (1): Problems in a sustainable society
Lecture 10: Development of learning materials for technology (2): Progress of computerization and industrial technology
Lecture 11: Development of learning materials for technology (3): Problem solving in manufacturing
Lecture 12: Development of learning materials for technology (4): Technological innovation and mechatronics
