In the society of expanding globalization, technical experts and researchers are required to have, not only superior skills in the field of their specialization, but also broad visions and flexible thinking abilities and planning and communicating skills with ethical and international points of view. In this course, students have debate exercises especially to improve communication skills. These exercises will enable students to effectively use collected and analyzed information to make someone understand. This course is offered with the support of the Mazda Foundation.

Requirements In this course, students will have debating exercises in Japanese language. Those who wishing to have English debating exercises should take “Developing Designing Ability” course (X0010091) provided by IDEC. Students are allowed to take only one course, either “Lecture on Developing Communication Skills” or “Developing Designing Ability”. 
Grading Method Total evaluation based on student’s attitude in the class and debate performance
