<How to conduct> At the first session, students will present their subspecialty, and show their plans of lists of skills and schedule of where and how to practice. Based on this plan, students negotiate with clinical sites such as hospital special outpatient clinics, primary care clinics, home-visiting nurse stations, and so forth, in addition to practicing at school. Concurrently, students will study foundation of theories and models of the skills. |

<Course description> This course provides opportunities for CNS candidate students to learn and acquire advanced nursing skills necessary for practicing subspecialty areas, especially skills for preventing aggravation, managing symptoms, improving QOL of people with chronic illness. Examples of skills 1. Facilitating patient's self-management (1) Adjustment of Insulin and hypoglycemic agents by SDM(Staged Diabetes Management) (2) Oxygen adjustment for COPD patients with HOT, comprehensive respiratory rehabilitation, and management of respiratory failure. (3) Adjustment of antihypertensive agents with chronic patients, and blood pressure control. (4) Adjustment of pain medication and opioid, pain management.
