<Course Description>
The goal of this class is, for students as CNS candidate who will be a change agent of the healthcare system, to acquire strategic skills to analyze and improve the chronic care systems. Thus Prof. Moriyama and Dr. Nakano, the vice-president & Director of Nursing at Hiroshima City Asa hospital will provide lectures.
Students will study healthcare systems, especially from the view point of chronic care systems, of many countries including Japan, and methodologies, related theories, and concepts on outcome management.
<Objectives>
Upon completion of the course the students will be able to;
1. Understand characteristics and issues of chronic illness/non-communicable diseases (NDC) care systems in Japan with the comparison of other countries' systems, and discuss about the new, innovative systems which may resolve those obstacles in Japan.
