/Class Outline 【Aim & Goals】The aim and goal of this course is to deepen understanding of the methodology and analitical methods of qualitative research constructed based on the fundamental theories based on historical development of philosophical backgrounds.
【Objectives】By the end of this course, students will achieve;
１．Deepen understandings of philosophical and historical background of qualitative research
２．Understand and articulate the methodologies of qualitative researches by representative philosophical theories
３．Explain how to develop research questions and select the method which is the most appropriate to deal with the questions
４．Explain sampling/recruitment methods and its validity from qualitative research perspective
５．Explain data collection methods by each qualitative research methods
６．Explain analysis methods based on the chosen methodology and its validity and reliability with comparison of quantitative methods
７．Understand how to analyze qualitative data and how to describe them
８．Understand the Mixed method/traiangulation
９. Learn application of research resuts
