<Course description>
Through this course, students will learn research methodologies in order to conduct nursing research, and the background philosophy and theories.
<Objectives>
1. Learn outcome research/clinical intervention research methodologies, such as how to improve clinical indicators and/or to provide best practice in a certain area of care.
Those will be also discussed; outcome management, process management, service delivery structures, service combination among medical treatment, nursing care, rehabilitation, nursing case management; social security system in Japan and other countries and the comparison.
2. Learn qualitative research methodologies and the background philosophy
3. Learn development of scales, assessment/intervention tools to improve nursing care and QOL
4. Discuss wide range of theories and concepts related to nursing and health sciences, and learn ab
