Class Objectives
/Class Outline
To obtain skills for experiments in biochemistry, immunology and cell biology, by performing experiments required for life sciences related to dermatology and immunology. 
Class Schedule Experiments take mostly 3 hours to consecutive several days. They may be performed over several weeks.
Students learn cell cultures, tissue staining, assays for small amounts of substances by antibodies, gene manipulations, and gene incorporations to cells as basic experimental skills.
For the evaluation of type I allergy, both in vivo and in vitro methods will mastered.
Students present results of their experiments at monthly research meetings.

To be announced at lectures. 
Requirements A minimum command of English to read scientific papers in English is essential. Students should have understood anatomy and physiology of the skin. The mechanism of immunological antigen presentation and immunotolerance should have been understood. 
Grading Method Credit will be granted according to the evaluation of time devoted for experiments (6 hours or more per week, 60 hour in total), and presentations at monthly research meetings.
