This course will consider a wide variety of elements of law, politics, and society. The course will focus on contemporary problems in social sciences. This course will serve as an introduction to the subsequent subjects related to law, political science and sociology. 
Expected OutcomeStudents in this course will  learn about the basic methodology in social sciences.

This course is the introduction to learn social sciences(law, political science and sociology). 
Class Schedule lesson1: This lecture deals with the basic structure of Japanese civil law and typical types of contracts.
lesson2: This lecture deals with how civil law(especially, Contract) applies to students' daily lives.
lesson3: Constitutive elements of Japanese criminal law—— Legal Subject, Conduct--Causation
lesson4: The Politics of Modern Japan
lesson5: Constitutive elements of Japanese criminal law-- Intent, Negligence
lesson6: The Modern Political Reform in Japan and China
lesson7: The role of the state in the 21st century
lesson8: The aim of this lecture on Political Thought is to provide a brief overview of history of political ideas.
