This course intends to improve 1) basic knowledge about theories and issues of educational development, 2) writing skill to produce a thesis, and 3) knowledge about Education in Japan.

Term paper: There will be one term paper (Around 10 pages long paper with appropriate references) for this class evaluation. The paper is expected to be written in English or Japanese and have to use a formal citation style. This term paper is your proposal of thesis.


Assignments: All participants are required to present summary of reading materials with appropriate handouts。
