Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The course aims to cultivate the following abilities and capacities in students through engagement in research on a specific theme, dependent on supervisor.
(1) Ability to create and carry out a research plan.
(2) Ability to apply one’s specialized knowledge to research.
(3) Ability to organize and logically summarize research findings, and to share them in presentations.
(4) Ability to survey, understand, and analyze literature in one’s field of specialty (including literature written in English).
 
Class Schedule Dependent on supervisor, but generally includes the following components:
-A theme is chosen, and its outline and research method are explained.
-Students establish research objects and both short-term and long-term research schedules; advisor provides continual guidance.

-Students carry out surveys, experiments, analyses, observations, etc. to meet their research objectives.
-Students gain an understanding of literature in related fields (including literature written in English), present on it and respond to questions through Q&A sessions.

-Supervisor holds a graduation thesis presentation meeting, at which students write an abstract, present their findings, field questions, etc.
-Students gain skill in writing and logical thinking by writing a graduation thesis.

-Students continually practice logical thinking, making presentations, communicating, and so on throughout the graduation research process.
