Class Objectives

In recent years, the scene along with the advancement of technology, the development of new material is forced for the advancement of mechanical systems and machinery also increased, demand for "materials engineer to understand the machine" and "machine engineer to understand the material" it was strong. Content should intrude to a microscopic behavior and properties have come to be included much in this case the "material". In this lecture, as the basis of lecture material related subsequent, to understand the phenomena that lead to changes to the structure of the machine material.
(1) Type of crystal structure, display of surface and direction in the crystal, the ability to understand and explain the structure of the material and crystal defects. (B-1)
(2)The ability to understand the concept of explanation equilibrium, equilibrium diagram and diffusion of atoms, the phase transformation. (B-1)
(3)The ability to understand and explain the nature elastic deformation, pseudoelastic and thermal expansion or the like due to the coupling of the atoms. (B-1)
(4)The ability to understand and explain the strengthening mechanism of the material and the movement of plastic deformation, slip deformation crystal and dislocations. (B-1)

Grading Method Shown in Outline, the achievement of the four items of "target of class", is evaluated by the sum of the end of chapter two tests. Performance evaluation, and the passing mark is 60% overall rating. However ,we evaluate only for the person who has submitted all issues.
