/Class Outline
This course covers semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, stylistics, and literary theory and introduces various approaches to function, meaning, and use of English language. Students attending this course are expected to deepen the knowledge on these aspects of English language,  build up the abilities to analyze English language including EFL learners’ output, and develop a flexible and comprehensive view on language. Various ELT-related issues are discussed from linguistic perspectives.
