|Text: Hitoshi Aoki et al. eds., " Introduction to Japanese law, the 3rd edition", Yuhikaku: Tokyo, 2014.
( The English title : Law Students in Wonderland)
Almost articles and materials listed in the bibliography of every chapter ever have been put on the Bb9.
|PC or AV used in
|On Blackboard 9, document materials put up.
| You should read 1 case of the text before every class and the resume and related materials after it, in order to understand the legal system step by step." You should read the judgement first of all. In some chapters, it may be better for you to read its explanation earlier than judgement itself.
Though many people make a mistake, our aim is not to memorize the articles of laws, so, please do never misunderstand. We request you to understand mechanism of legal system, which means various legal systems and total image or idea which connect those systems each other, and to acquire the base of jurisprudence thinking method, which is so-called Legal Mind. We will show points in a lecture, you should understand them, and then, you will be admired sometime by others like, "You know laws!" On the other hand, you will know that most people live by utilizing unreasonable prejudice, which is sometimes called common sense.
|| Subjects related to subjects
Essential questions and opinions for attending a lecture are put up on the electric notice board in Bb9.
By the way, according to the article 21 (2) of the Standards for Establishment of Universities, it's said that "To compose one unit class subject with the contents calling for 45 hours of learning is the standard", you should do your "learning" of 60 hours individually except 30 hours of classes to get two units in this class. Please refer to the article 19 (3) of general notices of Hiroshima universities.
|| Midterm writing in the 8th class (30 scores) and final examination (70 ones). If you were not to take part in the training of the 8th class, instead you could submit 2 reports on the blog in Bb9 and acquire 20 scores at most.
And every students may prensnt a mini-report once on the blog and get 10 scores in additon.
How to write a report: In writing your comments on the electric notice board, you should make a effect to show your originality and avoid to take similar thing in contents as well as you can with referring others writing before yours. And, you should make a effect to have the title only show the contents to readers well. It's important to specify the origin of materials which you examine as clearly as you can.
The points for evaluation of the report are following.
1 The Concreteness of the Title
2 Clarification of Question and Ignorance Points (They should be set to the level of university which is not too easy.)
3 Logical Relationship with the Main Theme of the Chapter (Understanding capability against text),
4 Eligibility of Investigation Target (Glossary in the latter of the text is lacking a little.)
5 Quotation Method of the Investigate Result (author's name, title, year of publication, applicable page or URL),
6 Conclusion (Problem solving, or the left new problem is also possible.)
7 Whole Logical Structure, Wording, and Form, these are seven points on which I'll check selectively.
|Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it
|| Can you write about social disputes and their legal resolution? Can you answer the sudden question, "what is a law?", right then? This course is maybe a class which you can't catch up if you don't read through materials of the text and check unknown points by yourself before attending. By the way, I guess that it's normal in college in the USA.
By the way, you can't bring any foods or beverages in a class room. (Class-1 health officer. It sounds like an announcement before departure of Hanshin bus.)
