Class Objectives

This is a specialized course of the Program in Science Education. The purpose of this course is to learn and understand specialized knowledge of physics among other science subjects.
Class Schedule Lesson1: Guidance
Lesson 2: Laws of Motion (Newton's Law of Motion, Galilee's Principle of Relativity)
Lesson 3: Laws of motion (inertial mass and gravitational mass and equals in physics)
Lesson 4: Simple motion of particles (equation of motion and its solution, parabolic motion of particles under gravity)
Lesson 5: Simple Motion of Particles (Harmonic Oscillators)
Lesson 6: Simple Motion of a Particle (Motion of a Particle on a Circumference)
Lesson 7: Universal Attraction (Kepler's Law and Universal Attraction, Discovery of Neptune, Tides)
Lesson 8: Law of Conservation of Energy (work, kinetic energy)
Lesson 9: The Conservation of Energy Law (Conservation of Mechanical Energy Law)
Lesson 10: Angular momentum conservation law (vector product, central force and angular momentum conservation law)
Lesson 11: Mechanics of multi-particle systems (conservation of momentum, conservation of angular momentum and energy conservation law of two-particle systems)
Lesson 12: Continuum mechanics (Vibration of a string)
Lesson 13: The concept of analytical mechanics
Lesson 14: Group work 1
Lesson 15: Group Work 2

There will be a final exam.

Requirements It is desirable to have taken "Understanding Natural Systems (Physics).
Grading Method Grades are assessed based on the achievement of each assignment and the result of the final examination.
