Mainly classroom lectures with provision of text, PPT slides, VTR
On campus field tour and excursion (outside the campus) will be held during the semester
Lecture will be given mostly in Japanese, butsometimes in English if necessary

Student will learn the biodiversity issue in relation to the historical and co-evolutional aspects, its degradation in relation to the human activities (local) and global issues (climate changes). Also, the student will learn the measures and policy development for the re-mediation and rehabilitation of degraded ecosystem (incl. biodiversity).
