Suggestions on
Preparation and
Review
Every lesson has the same pattern: Basic documents reading, investigation of unclear points, summary & presentation, follow-up study, presentation next time (or later)
Requirements   Depending on the student’s research theme, either legal science-related or legal education-related documents/books will be determined for reading. If students inform the instructor of student’s interest and request in detail, it would be helpful because scope of candidates can be narrowed down or expanded effectively.
This course provides 2 units. So, 90-hour learning including 30-hour class must be conducted in total at minimum.
Grading Method   Students to be comprehensively assessed by attendance status, reports and responses to questions, questions to reports of other students and the contents of lecture, discussions, and posting to the class electric bulletin board.
Message   My field of expertise is legal science, in particular, socio-legal studies and criminal sociology. Specifically, I am investigating reality of activities by law-related people such as criminal lawyer, judge, and city council members. Also, my scope is expanding such as juvenile problematic behavior, status of juvenile delinquency, and countermeasures.
