It is a purpose to understand the function and the role of farmers and farm organizations in Japan, and the relation between them and Japan's agro-policy.

3. Catch Japan's agriculture with production area
4. See the outline of Japan's agriculture -Presentation by each student-
5. Process and structure of Japan's agro-policy
6. Japan's agro-policy under the Basic Law Agricultural Policy
7. Japan's agro-policy under the Grobalization
8. Farmers and farm organizations with a development of Japan's agro-policy -Mini exam'-
9. Function and role of Agricultural Cooperatives
10. History of Agricultural Cooperatives
11. Perspective of Agricultural Cooperatives -Presentation by each student-
12. Policy and structure of Japan's rice farming
13. Policy and structure of Japan's vegetables and fruit farming
14. Policy and structure of Japan's lifestock rasing
15. Policy and structure of Japan's agriculture -Mini exam'-

I will give some experiences of fieldwork in Hiroshima prefecture. 
We'll distribute redumes used in the next class a class. You should check these till the next class.
Sometimes we'll use Audio-Visual materials.
This class is not only lecture but sometimes group discussion.

2. Check recent Japan's dietary pattern. Catch the reasons of Japan's dietary pattern changing.
3. Check the data of agronomy with each prefecture. Catch the structure of Japan's agriculture.
4. Check each redume of No.2-4, Make report or remember discussion.
5. Check The process of Japan's agro-policy. Catch the situation of it.
6. Check socio-economy at high economic growth period. Catch the meaning of the Basic Law Agricultural Policy and the situation of farmers in Japan.
7. Check socio-economy under the system of WTO. Catch the cause of the rate of food self-sufficiency decrease.
8. Check each redume of No.5-7, Make report or remember discussion.
9. Check the outline of Agricultural Cooperative. Catch the feature of it.
10. Check the history of Agricultural Cooperative. Catch the historical meaning of it.
11. Check each redume of No.8-10, Make report or remember discussion.
12. Check the policy of rice farming. Catch the situation of rice farmers
13. Check the policy of vegetables and fruit farming. Catch the situation of farmers of it.
14. Check the policy of stock raising. Cathe the situation of farmers of it.
15. Check each redume of No.12-14. Remember this class. 
Grading Method The following items are judged overall. examinations, reports and participation attitude of discussion
