- Solid learning of fundamentals of mechanical system engineering and nourishing of skill of its application
Thermodynamics is a fundamental and broad field of academy that treats the thermal state of materials and its change, and provides with the base of various energy related machines such as engines and refrigerator.  In this course, students learn about its fundamental concept, ideal gas, real gas, and thermodynamic relations for fundamental cycles.  By taking this course, students will be able to learn fundamental knowledge on thermodynamics and obtain basis for understanding performance of various energy machines and for designing them.

Final exam is conducted.  To deepen understanding, homework is given for every class.  Its solution is explained at the beginning of the next class, and the students are to check the solution by themselves, and re-submit it.  It is considered when the score of the final exam does not reach the acceptable level.

Study textbook well.  
Requirements  
Grading Method Achievement is evaluated by the written exam.  The evaluation is made by this achievement and students with the score higher than 60 % gets the credit.  The evaluation is made by final exam (80 %) and small exam given in each class (20 %).  When this score does not reach 60 %, submission situation of homework is considered up to 20 %.
