Joint Hands-on Activity with Children
The following shows a workflow on and around the day of the hands-on activity. A hands-on activity will be carried out once a month from October though December in principle (twice in December):
1. Before The Day of Activity with Children
Planning Meeting (held every week before the activity): Hands-on activities that are appropriate to the season, such as nature experience, farm work, seasonal events, and creative work, are planed in a group. The students should be cooperate with each other to think about what needs to be prepared for the activity, activity flow, points to keep in mind in implementing the activity, etc. and make an activity booklet (written plan/management plan). Activities on the day should be simulated in advance to check if there is a problem or what needs to keep in mind, if necessary.
2. On The Day of Activity with Children
Planned hands-on activities are implemented with support from the local people. The objective of those activities with children is for the students to deepen understanding of children, cultivate sociality and cooperativity, and acquire practical abilities to lead children and a group.
3. After The Day of Activity with Children
Meeting to review the field activity (held on a weekly basis immediately after the day of the activity): The students should look back on their activities with children and share what is good and what needs improvement, and try to reflect them in the next activities, through which the students should enhance their abilities to plan and implement activities.
Last lesson: A symposium-style review meeting (February) will be held.  The students look back on their activities in the past year in a group before having a review meeting with all students.
