The technology called "Intelligent structure" or "smart structure" is paid to attention in this lecture. This technology has the self-diagnosis function and the self-healing function by installing sensors and actuators in the structure. In this lecture, existing condition diagnosis technology and its problem is learned at first. Moreover, the instrumentation and the control technology subjacent to the concept of the smart structure are learned.

There will be three reports. Those contents relate to smart structures and control engineering.

Lesson 1-15 : Read the material distributed each time well, and investigate the matter with the concern. 
Grading Method The result is evaluated by exercises (10%) and reports (90%). It passes by 60 points or more in total.
Anyone who has more than six class-long, unexcused absences will receive a "D" grade for the course.
