Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The objective of this class is to learn fundamentals of computer programming for information processing through exercises. Computer programming for information processing is a technical platform of computer simulation, which is an essential technology for design and development of vehicles and for evaluation of energy and environmental problems.

Handouts will be distributed in classes. They will also be available on the web site (http://home.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/nakashima/lec/). A reference book of FORTRAN language is required as a dictionary.

Suggestions on
Preparation and
Review
For lessons 1 and 2, it is recommended to review operations of a computer learned in the basic class of information technology.
For lessons 3 to 15, preparation and review of each lesson are encouraged. Basic and practical exercises are also available in the handout.
Refer to electronic files of handout and slideshow for each lesson, as necessary. The data will be uploaded on the web site before the lesson. 
Requirements You should make sure to bring your student card, which is required to enter the lecture room 101 (Computer room).
Password for the educational computing system of Faculty of Engineering will be provided at the first lesson. 
Grading Method Up to 60 points for the programming assignment reports, and up to 40 points for the term-end examination. 
Message All exercise will be conducted at the lecture room 101 (Computer room) of faculty of engineering.
