This course provides a working knowledge of various types of technical communication in English, including reading instructions, reports, and academic papers, and writing concise descriptions and instructions.

lesson2: English representation of numbers, elements, chemicals, and experimental apparatus
lesson3: English representation of figures, tables, and numerical formula and reading a biology textbook
lesson4: Learning grammer (article) and reading an instruction manual of experimental apparatus
lesson5: Reading scientific and technical passage, preparation for EWTT 3rd grade (preview)
lesson6: Reading scientific and technical passage, preparation for EWTT 3rd grade(1)
lesson7: Reading scientific and technical passage, preparation for EWTT 3rd grade(2)
lesson8: Summary of the lessons 2〜7
lesson9: Reading a scientific article about biotechnology
lesson10: Reading a research paper about biotechnology

Suggestions on
Preparation and
Mini-examinations will be given on Lessons 2-7 and 9-14. The scope of the examinations will be announced a week prior to the exam. Enough preparation is necessary. 
Requirements Students need to bring an English dictionary to the class. 
Grading Method Up to 25 points for weekly class attendance.
Up to 25 points for the weekly mini-examinations.
Up to 25 points for the midterm examination.
Up to 25 points for the term-end examination. 
Message Be sure to attend the first class session because a trial examination will be given.
