| 授業の目標・概要等 |
This course introduces the field of Education and Development and more broadly Comparative and International Education (CIE). It provides an overview of the historical development of the field, theories and methods applied to its academic inquiry, as well as key themes and issues debated within the field. Through theoretical and empirical readings combined with student-led presentations and discussions, the course aims to develop a critical appreciation of dominant and alternative theories and methodologies pertinent to the field. The course also touches upon the emerging theme of generative AI used in research. |

This course consists of a combination of empirical and theoretical readings, lectures, discussions, group activities, and student presentations.
