授業の目標・概要等 A course designed to invite guest professors from partner institutions in various fields to deliver lectures on a wide range of topics related to development science.

メッセージ The World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö, Sweden, was established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations. Its mission is to be a global center of excellence in postgraduate maritime and ocean education, professional training, and research, while fostering capacity building and sustainable development in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On July 8, 2023, Hiroshima University (HU) concluded a comprehensive inter-university international exchange agreement with WMU, thereby strengthening both student and faculty exchanges. As part of this collaboration, Professor Henning Jessen will be invited to HU as a visiting professor from January to February 2026 to deliver a special intensive lecture series. Students from the fields of Development Studies, Law, Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, and other related disciplines are warmly welcome to participate. 
その他 The intensive lecture format will be implemented, with the schedule planned as follows.
- Format: Hybrid (in-person and online)
- Venue: Large conference room, The IDEC Institute, Higashihiroshima Campus
- Number of sessions: 15 sessions (90 minutes each)
