			This course is designed around seminars for guiding students in their research projects and monitoring research progress.

授業の目標・概要等	This special study is designed around seminars to monitor students' research progress. Mock presentations, research plan presentations, and progress report presentations will be conducted by students for peer reviews and feedback. Brief lectures on the various aspects of academic research will be incorporated into the seminars to assist the academic growth and enhance the research skills of the students. The seminars will introduce the students to key components and processes of academic research, from creating a research plan to research dissemination. Each meeting will consist of lectures, progress reports, and peer review or feedback. Students will have a sufficient understanding of academic research and be equipped with the research and writing skills necessary to undertake a research project.

予習・復習への アドバイス	Students should be able to communicate in English effectively and read graduate-level readings. Students are encouraged to read suggested readings, deliver progress reports, and provide and respond to feedback.

成績評価の基準等	The research presentation will be assessed as the final output for this course. A written assignment, depending on the status of the students’ research work, may be required.
