授業の目標・概要等	This course is designed for graduate students to share the necessary theoretical knowledge and attitude to develop the partnership for health protection from climate risks. The main topics are selected in this course to share the traditional scenario related to climate change and health effects. The overall objectives of the course for students are to: 1. Describe the hazards and health effects due to climate changing and outline the necessary preventive measures. 2. Formulate the preventive and control measures of common and pandemic diseases. 3. Develop the concept of global issues to protect the environments and promote environmental health services. 4. Continue and increase environment and health related English communication skill. Specific course objectives: After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Recognize the global environmental changing effects and estimate the public health interventions to prevent diseases. 2. Identify the social and environmental impact on health. 3. Explain the climate changing consequences and human health effects, including present and future risks. 4. Understand the importance of partnership for health protection.
授業計画	第1回 緊急環境健康サービスの概要 第2回 環境ハザードと健康への影響 第3回 地球環境の変化と自然災害 第4回 ヒ素、フッ化物、石炭への暴露の健康への影響 第5回 気候変動と人間の健康：現在と将来のリスク 第6回 地球規模の課題と地球温暖化 第7回 気候変動に対する健康保護のためのパートナーシップ 第8回 まとめ A test will be held during the last lesson.

授業で取り入れる 学習手法
予習・復習への アドバイス	Students are instructed to go through the textbook, visit the relevant website, journals and articles. They are also requested to gather in-depth knowledge on the selected topic for a successful discussion.
履修上の注意 受講条件等	Basic English ability is accepted (no standard test scores are requested).
成績評価の基準等	Attitude and discussion in classes: 60%, and test performance: 40%
