授業の目標・概要等 |
This lecture series has three purposes. The first one is to share information about sociological views of disabilities in Japanese culture and other cultures. The second one is to show the international trends of Special Needs Education which has led to Inclusion throughout the world. The third one is to review the practices of Inclusive Education. International organizations such as the United Nations, UNESCO, and WHO strongly recommend inclusive education. |

lesson 1 - Orientation lesson 2 - Sociological views of Disability in Japanese and other cultures lesson 3 - The History of Special Needs Education in Japan lesson 4 - Legislation of Special Needs Education in Japan lesson 5 - Cultural Inclusion lesson 6 - Gender Inclusion lesson 7 - Religious Inclusion lesson 8 - Including People with Disabilities lesson 9 - Special Needs Education and Inclusion: Historical background lesson 10 - International Trends of towards Inclusive Education in the world: UNESCO, WHO, OECD lesson 11 - ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health): Paradigm Shift of Disabilities lesson 12 - Inclusive Education Practices and Outcomes lesson 13 -Action Research to Develop and increase Inclusive Education lesson 14 - CBR (Community-Based Rehabilitation) and Social Inclusion lesson 15 - Student Presentations (50% of grade)
A Final Paper worth 50% of the grade will be required. |
