授業の目標・概要等 *This course is required for the first-year Department of Integrated Global Studies (IGS) students.
Modern society faces many problems beyond a single academic discipline. How can we resolve such multi-faceted issues?
In this class, students will learn about academic disciplines, research, and interdisciplinary learning/research (how to go beyond disciplines). Students also learn research methods through a textbook and lectures. IGS’s three study fields and faculty members’ research themes will also be introduced in the class for students to understand which field the topic they want to study is located in.
