Q1 What is the difference between new course and old course?

A1 Revision "Museum method enforcement rule" was enforced to improve museum attendant's quality on April 1, 2012, and the number of lowest mastered credits of "Subject concerning the museum" changed from 12 credits of eight subjects of an old course to 19 credits of nine subjects of a new course.

◎Subject Concerning the Museum

◎New course subject of this learningCurator Qualification Acquisition Specific Program Register Form for Entrants After FY2012 (As of April 1, 2012).

◎Old course subject of this learningCurator Qualification Acquisition Specific Program Register Form for Entrants Before FY2011 (As of April 1, 2012)

※The class of an old course is abolished from FY2012, and there are some things that shift to the class of a new course. From now on, the subject name and course starting time have changed, and the great caution is necessary though there is no problem that if the students of an old course also take the new course classes, the credits are recognized as old course credits.

Q2 Who can take class of the new course?

A2 It's an entrant in FY2012. However, the admission students that entered a school after April 1, 2012 become an object at a new course about the curator subject. Moreover, the graduate school students who registered before April 1, 2012 becomes an object at a new course, too.

Type Handling

1.Person who entered a school after April 1, 2012

New course (The completion of subject and credits is necessary)

Person who enrolled before April 1, 2012

2. Graduated students who continuously enrolled in university (The graduate school student is excluded).

※Person who repeats a year is included.

Old course (Completion of present subject and credits is acceptable).

3.Person who goes on to graduate school

New course (The completion of subject and credits is necessary)

4.Admission students from other universities

New course (The completion of subject and credits is necessary)

※ For 3 and 4, the credit of the old subject that has already been mastered by March 31, 2012, it is possible to be considered as equivalent credits of new subject of said subject.

Q3 Could the undergraduate student who registered before April 1, 2012 is able to take class of an old course?

A3 The undergraduate student who registered before April 1, 2012 can take an old course class. However, it is necessary to complete the following three requirements.

①Enrolled to the university before April 1, 2012, ②"Subject concerning the museum" of old course is all mastered while attending school. ③graduate from said university.

For person who continuously enrolled in the university before the enforcement day, April 1, 2012, please note that the mastered credit of the old subject after April 1, 2012 cannot be considered as equivalent new subject credit, and becomes invalid when he/she cannot masters the credit of all necessary old subjects for the qualification acquisition of the curator after April 1, 2012 and graduates.

Handling of Shift Period of New Course

Q4 Is it possible to transfer the old course subject mastered before April 1, 2012 to new course subject?

A4 It is possible. However, please note that the mastered old subject cannot be transfered as the new course subject April 1, 2012.

However, although "Principles and Thoughts of Education" started by this learning correspond to legal subject " Education Fundamentals" of old course and legal subject "Museum Education" of new course, the old course " Education Fundamentals" cannot be considered to be new course "Museum Education".

Therefore, "Principles and Thoughts of Education" that mastered by March 31, 2012 cannot be considered as new course "Museum Education". After April 1, 2012, "Principles and Thoughts of Education 2 credits" and "Museum Education 1 credit" should be mastered to fulfill legal subject "Museum Education" of a new course
