[November 19] Gates Foundation Special Lecture: “Global Health and International Cooperation to Save Lives” / （11/19開催）ゲイツ財団特別講義「グローバルヘルス特別講義－命を守る国際協力」 2026/9/25
Are you interested in global health challenges and international cooperation?
The Graduate School of Innovation and Practice for Smart Society will host a special lecture entitled“Global Health and International Cooperation to Save Lives,” featuring Ms. Moe Hirohara, a consultant at the Gates Foundation’s Japan office.
Based on the principle that“all lives have equal value,” this lecture will explore the global health challenges addressed by the Gates Foundation and the latest developments in international cooperation. In addition to global issues such as infectious disease control and maternal and child health, the lecture will introduce activities and networks in which students can participate, as well as potential career paths in these fields.

Venue: Multipurpose Space, 1st Floor, MIRAI CREA, Higashi-Hiroshima Campus
※The lecture will also be livestreamed online for students based at the Kasumi and Higashi-Senda Campuses.
Language: English, with explanations in Japanese provided as needed.
Note: Attendance at this lecture will count as one seminar attendance for “Science Seminar for Smart Society A” or “Science Seminar for Smart Society B,” offered by the Graduate School of Innovation and Practice for Smart Society.

スマートソサイエティ実践科学研究院では、ゲイツ財団日本拠点コンサルタントとして活躍されている廣原萌氏を講師にお迎えし、特別講義「グローバルヘルス特別講義－命を守る国際協力」を開催します。
本講義では、「すべての命は平等に価値がある」という理念のもと、ゲイツ財団が取り組むグローバルヘルスの課題と国際協力の最前線について学びます。感染症対策や母子保健などの世界的課題に加え、学生が参加できる活動やネットワーク、将来のキャリアの可能性についても紹介されます。
