グローバルコモンズ（総合科学部）キックオフイベント開催のお知らせ（参加費無料！） Global Commons (School of Integrated Arts and Sciences) Kick-off Event Announcement 2026/6/15
6月25日(木)に「グローバルコモンズ（総合科学部）」のキックオフイベントを開催します。
グローバルコモンズは、日本人学生と留学生が気軽に交流できる場です。多文化に触れながら、新しいつながりをつくる機会として、ぜひご参加ください。
また、本活動は「多文化共修」の実践の場でもあります。日本人学生と留学生がそれぞれの文化的背景や多様な視点を生かしながら、地域や社会の課題について共に学び、考え、理解を深めることを目的としています。
初回は、日本人学生と留学生が気軽に交流できる内容を予定しています。交流を通じて、お互いの文化や価値観への理解を深め、多様な視点に触れる機会としてご活用ください。
言語は英語を使用しますが、自信がない方でも問題ありません。広島大学大学院統合生命科学研究科に勤務されていたローレンス先生が、このたびグローバルコモンズのコーディネーターとして今後の運営を担当されます。TAとともにサポートしますので、安心してご参加いただけます。
対象は主に3・4年生ですが、1・2年生および大学院生の参加も歓迎します。
友人を誘って、留学生との交流や多文化理解を深める機会として、ぜひご活用ください。

A Kick-off Event for Global Commons (School of Integrated Arts and Sciences) will be held on June 25 (Thu).
Global Commons is a place where Japanese and international students can casually interact with one another. We encourage you to join us as an opportunity to experience different cultures and build new connections.
This activity also serves as a space for Multicultural Collaborative Learning, where Japanese and international students learn together by drawing on their diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives. Through dialogue and collaboration, participants deepen their understanding of regional and social issues while learning from one another.
The first session will focus on casual interaction between Japanese and international students. Through these exchanges, participants will have the opportunity to broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of different cultures and values.
English will be the primary language used during the event. However, students who are not confident in their English skills are also welcome to participate. Dr. Lawrence, who previously worked at the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life, Hiroshima University, has recently joined Global Commons as the coordinator and will oversee its future activities. Together with the Teaching Assistants (TAs), he will support participants throughout the event.
The program is mainly intended for third- and fourth-year undergraduate students, but first- and second-year students as well as graduate students are also welcome to join.
Invite your friends and take this opportunity to interact with international students and deepen your understanding of cultural diversity.
