※1）広島大学と東広島市が連携し、教育・研究資源と行政資源を融合させることで、地方創生の実現を目指すTown & Gown構想のもと、令和4年（2022年）3月に設立した組織です。現在、民間企業18社が参画しており、企業の知識や技術を活用しながら広島大学周辺におけるスマートシティの実装に向け、様々な実証実験に取り組んでいます。 
The Hiroshima University Smart City Co-Creation Consortium※1 has deployed electric micro-mobility vehicles on the Hiroshima University Higashi-Hiroshima Campus, in the Shitami area of Higashihiroshima City, and around JR Saijo Station, with the field trial starting on November 2 this year.

This trail aims to verify whether electric micro-mobility can serve as a sustainable mobility solution that improves transportation convenience for students, residents, tourists, etc., while addressing traffic challenges in Higashihiroshima City.

To ensure safer use of these electric micro-mobility vehicles, we will hold the safety workshops as follows.

　　　- 2nd session: 12:10–13:00

　　　　(Each session: 30-minute lecture + 20–60 minutes hands-on riding training※)
　　　※Duration of hands-on training may vary depending on the number of participants

　　- Lecture: Student Exchange Lounge (1F, University Hall Building)
　　- Hands-on training: Open space next to the University Hall Building
　　(Please see “E16”: Hiroshima University Campus Map higashi_hiroshima)
　　- Vehicles used: Two-wheeled type, seated three-wheeled  type

　　(1) The workshop will be held even in case of rain (covered area available for riding training)
　　(2) Helmets are provided for the practical training.

※1) The “Co-Creation Consortium” is an organization established in March 2022 under the Town & Gown concept, in which Hiroshima University and Higashihiroshima City collaborate to achieve regional revitalization by integrating educational/research resources with administrative resources. Currently, 18 private companies participate, working on various demonstration experiments to implement a smart city around Hiroshima University using corporate knowledge and technology.
